North Scottsdale - Mariposa Grande - $2.975 million
Prior to putting it on the market the owners of this 7,031 sq. ft. home
asked me to meet with them and their Realtor to discuss how to best
stage the home for the professional photographer.
The home was beautifully furnished and filled with many unique
accessories, and family memorabilia. My staging plan was to remove
many of the personal photos and any excess furniture, but still retain
much of the western decor that enhanced the home's character.
I returned later that week with an assistant and we worked on all
the key rooms boxing up all the excess items such as books, pictures,
figurines, etc. We rearranged furniture on the patio, master suite
and guest house. We organized the exercise studio, pantry and
home office. We brought in attractive storage containers and
organized the master closets and the storage closets. We then set up
the garage with all the excess items and transported them for
storage, consignment and donation. I charged the client on an
hourly basis, plus the cost of storage containers.
The owners were very pleased with the results and found that
getting rid of excess items made it easier and more enjoyable to live
in the house.
